What grades does Gesu School serve? Does Gesu offer Pre-K and Kindergarten?

Does my child need to be Catholic to attend Gesu School?
No. Students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome at Gesu School. Gesu students have the opportunity to grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally, whatever their faith background. As a faith-based institution in the Catholic tradition, Gesu intentionally provides the study of religion. Catholic beliefs and traditions are taught as part of the religion curriculum, and Gesu places emphasis on helping students develop strong character and values. Gesu teaches respect for all people and all faiths, exposing students to the world’s major religions. Gesu raises students’ awareness of social justice issues and encourages students to be young women and men for and with others.
Does Gesu School offer financial assistance?
Yes. All families are required to complete and submit a financial aid application. The income information of both parents (even if divorced, separated, stepparents or never married) of the child(ren) is required in completing the financial aid application. All families who qualify will receive financial aid based on income after completing the financial aid application. Learn more about financial aid.
When will I find out if we have received financial aid?
After you have been notified of acceptance, you will be given instructions to complete a financial aid application and submit all required documents. Once that application is received, Gesu will process your financial aid application and notify you of financial aid awards as soon as possible.
Can I pay my tuition in cash?
Tuition payments are processed through FACTS or through PNC bank using a deposit slip that you can obtain at the Gesu School main office. Gesu School does not accept cash payments at the school.
How old does my child need to be?
For Kindergarten: 5 years old by September 1
For Pre-K: 4 years old by September 1
Does Gesu School offer After Care?
Yes, Gesu’s After-School Program is available for grades Pre-K – 6 and is weekdays 3pm – 6pm
(with the exception of Wednesdays from 2pm – 6pm).
Does Gesu School offer breakfast and/or lunch?
Yes, all Gesu students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch. Breakfast begins at 7:30am.
